Exactly what it says on the tin: for tanking, I use The Undeath Carrier for its absolutely ginormous stamina boost (+151 stamina). I've yet to find a weapon with a better stamina, aside from PVP and arena weapons, and frankly my skill with arena is... somewhat lacking.

OK. It sucks. I've done all of three arena battles, lost every one of them, and decided it really wasn't for me.

As a high-level raider, getting *into* places isn't too difficult, but can someone give me a suggestion ...

Can Hunter Tanks post their talent's tree/specs for 3.2.2 ?

I tried a PvP Specs that works well with PvP/Frost/Pve mixed Gear. But I'm looking for a real good specs and have many questions ...

- I have a Beast/MM spec but does Hunter vs Wild and Survivalist better ?

- I have 2 T5 gear, 4 T9 Gear, Frost/PvP Gear what should be the best

=> 2 T5 good for heal but low stats and need good dps so less hp

=> 4 T9 should gives +600AP to pet but not really suitable for ...

Call the pet you need for each encounter you face:

Call Stabled Pet: Cooldown reduced from 30 minutes to 5 minutes.

Don't stack as much Resilience just to have an un-critable pet:

Pet Resilience: All player pets now get 100% of their master’s resilience.

Avoid 90% of AoE instead of just 75%:

So now, with the new changes to 'Resilience scales to pet', obviously people are going to be moving on toward PVP gear to get their pet crit-immune. The question I've got here, though: what suit should we be considering?

See, the way I see it, you can haphazardly grab PVP gear and get your pet crit-immune, but you'll be risking your threat generation at some point. As my old fear goes, PVP gear isn't much for +hit for the most part, or for +AP, which our pet needs for scaling Growl.

Well, seeing as I don't like to raid with more than 1 toon - it's important to focus DKP in order to keep with the curve - I have decided to go primarily PvP with my hunter. I'm currently ...

Hi,

Since few weeks I'm trying to make a Tank Build, first for soloing instance. Then may be later tanking in wotlk heroics.

But I have many questions and issues I can't really solve.

1. Hunter Build

Here is my Armory:

Question:

- Should I put 1pt or 2pt in "Go for the Throat" ? A Survival hunter should put 1 because of many Crits but a BM ?

Here's one to start things off:

Off tanking Razorscale. We always designate a player to tank the sentinels off to the side. Is there a reason why this wouldn't be the best use of a hunter pet? The reduced aoe damage would make it pretty easy. The only problem I can see is trying to use the pet in the tanking rotation of phase 2. Having to constantly kite Razorscale around would be very difficult to do as a hunter.

The Ultimate Test: Malygos?

So while this might belong in the theorycraft area, I can't help but wonder: anyone have some suggestions for just how to make this tanking a possibility? Obviously, 'more buffs' is an obvious one, but what about types? Should I focus more on extra ...

Too many Macros

So I have been playing with the idea of a Hunter Tank from WoW beta. Ive always been bm and have tried tanking were ever I could. As of LK its become alot easier and now with 3.1 its even better! That and the fact I found this site!

Anyway back to the point. I have created macros for everything you can think of. All my pets moved are controlled by macros I click for his moves but I also added shots in like steady shot, arcane, scropion sting and rapid fire. So I am doing dps as well as tanking.

Does anyone else Pet-tank and Player-tank? What I mean is that I've been pet-tanking with my 3-person hunter team in Burning Crusade, but I've also rolled up a new alt and I've been player-tanking with my new Paladin in a 4-person team in the first few Classic dungeons.

The main difference I see is the point-of-view from the camera angle.

As a hunter-pet-tank, I get to stand back on the edge of the fight where I can see the big-picture of the fight. It's easy for me to keep track of ...

Tanking Naxx: A Hunter Perspective.

While I'm currently a bit slow writing it all down, I would like to promote and ask for help regarding my Naxx tanking strategy guide that can be found here.

If you have suggestions for bosses, or want to write an article yourself (Durante for Sapphiron perhaps? ) feel free to do so. Make a comment here, or at my blog. If you want to make the tactic-images yourself, give me a howl and I can give you the legend as a PSD.

Positioning Strategy: 'Stay'

Now, the obvious use for 'stay' in most cases is to put your pet somewhere and misdirect a mob down onto it. However, I did a couple of tests on a pet, and discovered that 'stay' can be useful for a lot of other things.

I have known for a while that if a pet on 'passive' has its target die (or become untargetable/CCed), it will return not to your side, but the 'stay' position. So I got curious. A pet put on 'stay', commanded to attack something, and then with /petpassive' activated will ...
