As I remember, my turtle got to do the same thing, since I was doing the Frostbitten achievement. Funnily enough, ol' Loque wasn't the last critter I needed. He wasn't even in the last five.

Back then, I was Survival for raids and instances. I like to say I had an excuse.

I'm still lacking 6-7 rares I believe for Frostbitten. Try to cover them when I wake up in the morning when there's been little traffic over the night and hope for the best =P

If you're really determined to get it, set yourself an alarm for around 4AM and make the rounds at that point. Advantages, for me, of being Canadian and playing European servers: 11PM is 4-5AM game-time, no one is on, it's not quite bedtime for me, and I can double-check for rares. I found better than 50% of my rares at that time of day.

Also a help are some of the AddOns to 'ping' rares. I use SilverDragon. It works great.

Using Silverdragon as well, combined with a /tar macro. I've noticed a few rares that won't be targeted by SD, but it will pop them up as being in the cache or nameplate. But even when I target them it doesn't recognize that it's the correct target. Quite strange tbh.

And no, I'm not THAT dedicated compared to how bad of a sleeper and morning person I am =P

That's something I've never had a problem with. All the rares I ever had, SilverDragon pinged them just fine. I wonder if something's changed or what.

Nah, mostly all works. Never seen a Northrend one that hasn't. But I have encountered one in Barrens called Sludge something. It's right next to where Takk the Leaper resides. I couldn't target it with SD at all.

So just to be safe, I'm using a specific macro for Northrend rares to target

I've done Bloody Rare already without encountering that problem there either.

or you could try the trick for getting rare spawns. Wait for a server reset and hop on as soon as you can afterward. Alot of the spawns will be up with the reboot of the server.

It may not work on these types but it works on other things like it so its worth a shot. Also, remember that there are multiple spawn points so you will have to check each one to be sure.

There are 5 rares that spawn on server reset, all of which I've already found One of those that I have left is at server reset +21h, which is in the middle of the night/morning, not likely that I will get up for that =P Another is at server reset +6h, which is when I'm at work. The other 4 doesn't have enough data. I killed a rare this morning, so it's now only 6 left =D
