Don't tell Bliz, but it seems Worms are way OP in the 4.0 patch.

That Burrow attack is almost good enough for me to retire George the turtle for a little while.

Burrow Attack definitely seems like a great chunk of AoE threat. Later today I plan on testing its damage a bit, as well as a few buggy bits of it current form (cooldown, status as instant or channeled, and the effect of using it while tanking).

Sounds like my plan to get one of each Exotic pet as a 'just in case' may be a wise one. I still have plenty of stable slots open; might as well nab a worm and give it a shot.

I'm still eagerly waiting to see what the new tenacity families, Shale Spiders and Beetles, will have going for them. I don't think I could get rid of Panzer (he's a part of me), but if Beetles get a shell shield, it's... very tempting. I love bugs.

BRK's got videos back up on his original site, he's got one that features beetles. Seems they have some kind of Armor steal ability, where they gain a certain amount of their opponents armor.

I gave the worm ability a try today. Holy my-frikken-GOD is it overpowered. For one thing, as far as I can tell, damage to the worm wasn't stopping the channel. For another thing, the damage was striking everything in an area around the worm (as the tooltip says). A third: the damage can crit. I was watching over 1k per tick, with 1.5k crits popping up every so often. The chimera's AOE didn't have *anything* on it, and the tooltips read very similarly.

I'm praying that the nerfbat doesn't pop up any time soon, but as it stands right now, IMO, worms are the new Gorilla. The only difference is that I actually don't dislike worms (sorry, Bubbles!).

Gonna have to give my wormie a shot later on, see how well he can do in a heroic compared to my bear, who I used in H Nexus in a random after the tank left for no apparent reason.

Seems threat generated by tank pets has gone up to some degree, Sherman the bear was holding aggro on pulls of up to 4 without issue, where before he may have lost one.

Didn't notice any crits on trash, boss crits either didn't happen or didn't hurt much. Used the same gear I used before the patch, sat on around 45k-47k after buffs.

Good stuff. I grabbed the Ghost Worm, Ghost Cat, and had the Ghost Hydra. I'll have to try the Ghost Worm tankin'. It also looked like he wasn't hit while he was burrowed. Which would be a nice shield-like ability.

I was hoping for this too, but alas the combat log showed my worm taking hits between Burrow ticks. I didn't happen to notice if they were any more or less than when he was above ground, I'll check on that later.

With the dps oriented gear I was in the Burrow was ticking for about 1100-ish as a hit, 1740 range for crits. Not bad, esp if he can get that on EVERY target in a multi-pull. We'll see in the days to come.

Word has it that Burrow is apparently not strong enough for Blizzard. It has a buff in the present Cata build. That's right: a *buff*. I almost hope that Blizzard made a mistake there, because of worms are buffed that much, it's only a matter of time before they get either re-nerfed, or something else gets hit hard.
