Recently my guild has folded. A steady process of our best players stepping away from the game over the last few months plus our servers terrible recruiting spelled out its demise.

Now I've begun the process of applying to new guilds under the condition that if Bubbles doesn't have a home in their guild, neither do I. I'm not willing to transfer off the server since I have friends and family there, but there's only I believe five horde guilds that have all four keepers in 25 Ulduar down, so my options are pretty limited. I do extremely competitive DPS and have a sound reputation on my server amongst our raiding guilds as a raider and a generally easy guy to get along with, so I expect the only major hold up to be the pet tanking.

I've already gotten some questions and concerns from the top raiding guild on our server about it. They're primarily worried that even rare pet tanking attempts would prohibit hard mode attempts on those bosses, and could cost the raid precious raid time and could result in bosses not going down before the end of the raid week.

I'll try to keep you all updated on how this new adventure goes.

Horde, meh!

Always a sad thing when the guild falls apart. It's summer season and it's rather common that it happens then. I hope Bubbles can find a new home in a new guild. What will you do if you don't find any?

I managed to grab a spot in the top horde raiding guild on server by virtue of my PvE dps and some awesome recommendations from my former guildmates who had joined already.

The guild has mixed feelings on my pet tanking. Its a serious progression guild, and as such a number of the players don't like the fact that pet tanking would prevent us from doing hardmode on that boss and getting that loot and wouldn't provide any real progression benefit in trade. The officers like the idea, but they don't want to force anyone to participate in they don't want to so I have to make sure we have 25 people on who'd actually want to do it.

Fortunately it may get a little easier after 3.2. Hardmode and normal are getting their separate lockouts in the new raid. I'm hoping that since pet tanking and hardmodes will no longer be mutually exclusive they'll be more willing to let me tank.

Great! =) Glad you got yourself a spot. And nice that the officers like the idea. I wish I had officers like that =/

The number of wipes will be a factor in the gear that drops, so sadly, pet-tanking may be for older content only.
