3.2 is Live
3.2 goes live today, so I'm throwing together a list a changes that are relevant to Tenacity pets and pet tanking. Feel free to point out any I miss.
1. All pets now receive 40% of their master's resilience and 100% of their master's spell penetration. In addition, if a player is at their appropriate spell hit chance or hit chance maximum, their pet will be at the maximum for spell hit chance, hit chance, and expertise. If they are below the maximum, their pet will be proportionately below those maximums.
2. Catlike Reflexes now also reduces the cooldown of your Kill Command ability by 10/20/30 seconds.
3. Roar of Sacrifice: This ability can now be used on any friendly target to make that target immune to critical strikes, but the Hunter pet takes 20% of all damage taken by that friendly target. Cooldown increased to 2 minutes.
4. Beacon of Light: The healing amount on the Beacon of Light target is now based on the total healing done (including over-healing) instead of the effective healing done. Radius increased to 60 yards. Multiple Paladins can now have this active on the same target. Buff indicating a player is within range of the Beacon target is no longer displayed. This may have been fixed. I'll test it when the servers come up and if so remove it from this list.
5. Glyph of Tricks of the Trade: The bonus damage and threat redirection granted by your Tricks of the Trade ability lasts an additional 4 sec.
6. Animal Handler now increases pet AP by 5/10%.
7. Wild Hunt now increases pet AP by 15/30%, up from 10/20%.
8. Ancestral Healing / Inspiration: The buff from this ability now reduces the physical damage taken by the target by 3/7/10% instead of increasing the target's armor.
Wrap up: For tanking we get the ability to become uncrittable in PvE, an extra 21% pet AP, half the cooldown on Kill Command, additional threat from a Glyphed Tricks of the Trade, and a flat 10% physical damage received instead of armor from Disc priests and resto shaman. PvP brings us a new group utility with a changed Roar, and for PvE DPS we gain the ability for paladins to use our pet as a healing supercharger.
