Newgear maybe better threat?

With all the new gear esp the nice i270 gear from voa stam is easy to get. With only 183 resiliance we need even less to get pur pets crit immuned. Is it now possible to wear 80% pve gear to max our ap for threat?

In pve gear i have just about 4.6k ap but in tanking gear Im bearly over 3.1. I know stam maybe in Issue but I was considering in getting the increase stam from surv talents to try to off set the stam loss.

Does anyone know / think its worth it?

I'm considering making two different tanking sets. A threat+stamina one and a stamina one.

I have the stamina one. It gets *me* a bit over 47k health. A majority of it is PvP gear. PvP gear just has tons of stamina. And honestly, it's rarely a bad idea to slot in a +30stamina gem in PvP gear.

If you are big into PvE, you will be putting Agil (or possibly ArPen) gems in nearly all your slots. You will certainly replace PvE gear and then can regem/reenchant the old gear with Stamina and raw AP. That said, I imagine that gear will be the i245 and i251 stuff. AND it has a LOT less stamina than i264/i270 PvP gear.

Oh, and yes, I'll "roll pettank offset" for i264 gear, but we usually raid with 4 hunters so it'll be pretty rare.
