Umtokk Feat. Nordhbane gone

I've decided to move my blog to my own site instead, and with that move, I've also decided to retire the name "Umtokk Feat. Nordhbane" seeing that Umtokk will most likely be a retired gorilla due to the patch.

If any of you have a good name for a blog I'd be hosting, feel free to come up with suggestions. If I'm using your suggestion I'll dedicate the grand re-opening to you once everything is designed and ready.

I have already updated my link on the blog roll, and I would suggest putting your new website in your profile here so people have a link to it here in your posts, and also dont forget to update wowheadlines with a new pic and address.

I sense your disappointment with 3.1 and thunderstomp. In addition to the damage nerf, it's disappointing to lose the Gorilla advantage. I'm not looking forward to having to grab a Turtle to replace my butt-scratching King Gorilla.

So don't replace your gorilla? Nothing says that you can't keep your gorilla space available for said butt-scratcher. If you need extra armor, pull out the turtle. If you just need the general tanking, use your gorilla. The spell interrupt isn't a total loss, after all.

Me, I got rid of my gorilla because I never liked it. Back when gorilla was the only AOE threat, I didn't have a choice but to have one around just in case. I'm glaaaaad to be rid of it. But that's me.

I just don't have enough stable slots. Then again, if it looks like the turtle can't generate enough aggro, maybe I wont bother to go beyond my crocolisk.

I always wanted a gorilla, but felt my stable was too small for one before 3.0. With the stable size change, and the imbaness of the gorilla I was really thrilled to have one in my stables. And I really love the oooh-ooooh-ooooh sounds it makes when it's charging in. But now it's so lackluster, and I'm out of stable space again. So one of these days he's gone for good =(

omg. Well, yes there are interrupts to be made. I haven't done all the bosses by a long shot. What I've seen is there are some where you would want to interrupt. However in most cases unless the pet is getting heals and tanking, they wouldn't want any thunderstomp. There is a fair amount of CC in play. And often there are just waaaay too many things that you wouldn't want to have a thunderstomp... at least not on autocast.

One in particular made my eyes light up with joy the other day, as I've been very torn trying to decide to min/max or stay with my faithful companion. Depending on the progression we make hopefully I'll have something to show in a couple weeks.
